- Bachelors degree required
- Knowledge of the education field, including familiarity with current student assessment practices.
- At least two years of K -- 12 teaching experience highly preferred
- Experience in quantitative data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting with strong focus on data quality and continuous improvement processes
- Ability to make data appear clear and accessible to a wide variety of audiences
- Strong project management skills
- Expertise with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint; comfort evaluating and learning new computing programs and familiarity with Mac
- Experience with statistical software and reporting tools preferred
- Outstanding organizational skills and high attention to detail; outstanding written and oral communication skills.


Responsibilities
Collecting Data
- Collaborate with the Chief Academic Officer to create an assessment strategy. This includes determining what assessments need to be administered across various Coney Island Prep campuses, as well as drafting internal assessments as needed.
- Based upon the assessment needs of each school from the overall assessment strategy, research, and select, and manage the relationships with outside assessment vendors, such as The Achievement Network and NWEA.
- Support test administration and data collection for all schools.
- Create trackers for teachers to collect student achievement data as needed.

Analyzing Data
- Conduct statistical analysis of student achievement data.
- Analyze student achievement data to determine the effectiveness of various curricula and interventions.
- Maintain data warehouse of all student assessment data, including interim assessments, NWEA MAP assessments, state assessments, etc. . .
- Train and coach teachers and staff on using data tools and student information systems to drive instruction.
- Manage the data needed for the Teacher Career Pathway.
