K-3 Special Education (SETSS) Teacher Needed! (Brooklyn, NYC) New York City

Available positions:
- SETSS teacher for grades K-4

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a range of instructional, management, and assessment strategies to meet the needs of all scholars.
Provide direct service and special education support to students to help them achieve their IEP goals.
Provide support for students by working in small groups and collaborating with classroom teachers in an inclusion setting.
Assist in the creation and differentiation of lessons and units of study that are driven by data and promote critical thinking.
Collaborate with co-teachers to create engaging lessons and consistent behavior systems that promote a positive school culture.
Consistently hold students to high behavioral and academic expectations.
Participate in creating, revising, administering, and grading assessments and tracking student data.
Facilitate testing accommodations and modifications for students with IEPs.
Participate as part of the student intervention referral team.
Continuously cultivate strong relationships with students and families through open communication.
Create an inviting and engaging classroom culture that sparks creativity and love of learning.

-Master's degree, strongly preferred
-New York State teaching certification, required
-Experience working with children in grades K-4
