Compliance Analyst - (Financial District, NYC) New York City

The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) provides immediate, effective and comprehensive employment services to men and women returning from incarceration. Today, CEO is the leading employment reentry organization in the country, serving 4,500 participants each year in 11 high-impact locations across California, Oklahoma, New York and Pennsylvania.
The Compliance Analyst is responsible for coordinating the execution of all corporate compliance documentation as well as assisting with CEO's risk management activities including grants compliance, insurance administration, and lobbying reporting. In addition, the Director will help assess the major areas of risk in the enterprise and help develop and monitor risk management plans which seek to limit losses and increase prevention and safety in the organization.

● Ensures that all agency documentation required to operate based on federal, state, and local laws is up-to-date, accurate, secured and organized appropriately.
● Performs enterprise risk management and compliance audits, and assists with the development, coordination, and implementation of risk management plans for corporate, finance, human resources, and program domains with guidance from the COO, Senior Finance Director, and Human Resources Director.
● Develops and submits corrective action plans based upon the findings of various audits and internal reviews; conducts internal follow up reviews to ensure compliance efforts and corrective action plans are implemented and ongoing within departments cited in findings.
● Assists with the preparation of fiscal and governmental programming audits and acts as the liaison between departments to coordinate the organization of information needed for review.
● Works with Contract Administrator to ensure effective monitoring of grants compliance from contract execution to contract completion, and that contract documentation is organized appropriately.
● Oversees and updates CEO insurance portfolio annually and ensures insurance documentation is sent to CEO's business partners and government agencies; ensures CEO's exposure to workers compensation claims are minimized.
● Reviews and evaluates all work-related accident reports for completeness and clarity of data; analyzes data as needed.
● Processes all required government documentation that allows CEO to operate in each jurisdiction.
● Monitors and reports on CEO lobbying activities to government entities.
● Administers CEO's Whistleblower policy and reporting system.
● Ensures executive safety committee is meeting quarterly and that safety training programs are being implemented and in compliance with OSHA regulations and other federal, state or local requirements.
● Participates in other special projects as needed.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Baseline Skills: Excellent presentation skills, good computer navigation skills, and experience with MS Office and Google Documents. Four years of progressively responsible risk management and compliance experience in a growing and/or complex environment.
Skills to be Learned on the Job: Knowledge CEO program model and program audit theories and practices.
Education: Master's degree preferred in business administration or public administration.
Experience: At least three years of program management experience.

compensation: $40,000 - $50,000 per year - commensurate with proven experience and abilities
