Production Intern - KAL RIEMAN, Inc. (New York, NY)

KAL RIEMAN, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and results-driven Production Intern for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will display an entrepreneurial spirit, ability to build relationships with vendors and manufacturers, and a strong interest in the fashion industry. This is a great opportunity to gain first-hand experience in garment development and wholesale production.

As an integral member of our showroom, you will be the point of contact between the factories, vendors, and Creative Director, as well as an ambassador for the KAL RIEMAN brand.

Responsibilities include:

• Organize and take ownership over the collection for production
• Edit line sheets and prepare for final deliveries
• Assist with model fittings
• Prepare style fit comment worksheets and garment cut tickets
• Source materials for development and production
• Develop tech packs
• Build technical flat sketches and garment specs

Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An eagerness to learn
• Positive attitude, high energy, and proactive working style
• Some knowledge of garment development and construction
• Ability to work 3-5 days a week
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Proficient in technical sketching and flat sketching
• Adobe Illustrator proficiency a plus

Internship is a non-paying internship. College credit can be provided.

She now shows a Spring and Fall collection every year, produced entirely in New York City.
