Summary:This is a fully competent professional architect who works independently to lead and direct the work of the project team. This position manages the development and completion of one or more projects in a manner consistent with firm-wide standards for project delivery. This position is responsible for overall project management including client relationship, scheduling, budgeting and is accountable for the quality of work performed, client service and profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)
Assists in promoting the development and application of the firm's 'user driven' approach to project set-up, design and delivery.
Participates in the development of tools and methods that support innovative, value based thinking for our clients in any and all markets.
Defines client requirements and establishes project approach.
Facilitates and collaborates in information gathering for vision, programming and planning.
Manages client/firm relationship and all contractor arrangements.
Works closely with designers and project architects in establishing the pre --design project schedule.
Directs and reviews the work of project team members, provides performance feedback, ensures team members' skills and project requirements are appropriately matched.
Researches and resolves problems; monitors project budget, schedule, and scope of work; negotiates fee changes as necessary.
Reviews client billing and does A/R follow-up as necessary.
Assists in marketing efforts to secure additional projects with existing clients and to expand current client base.
Participates in preparation of proposals and may assist in presentation to the client and in contract negotiation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture or related field.
Architectural licensure highly desirable.
Minimum 12 years experience as a professional architect, including 3 plus years experience as a Project Manager with client and contractor interface.
Six plus years experience in Luxury Retail required.
CADD Proficiency required
Advanced knowledge of construction materials, standards and codes.
Minimum 5 years previous supervisory and personnel management.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail.
Ability to consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined.
Ability to work with integrity, trust and commitment, setting an example for others.

Physical Requirements/ Work Environment:
Normal office environment with moderate noise levels, occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs., regular walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing and reaching.
Ability to perform consistent work on PC.
Frequent domestic or international travel may be required.
