Junior Utility Account Auditor:

Elite Energy Group is a well-established Energy Consulting and Utility Account Audit Firm based in Floral Park, NY.

We are looking for an ambitious person to grow with us as we expand our already successful analytical business unit.

Monthly Gas and Electric utility bills are a cost for almost every business, no matter what they do or where they operate. The utility companies that provide this service must abide by a heavily regulated set of rules and regulations regarding their operations and pricing structures. Additionally, tax incentives and special programs offer businesses breaks that they might not even know about, causing them to overpay on their utility costs.

The job of the utility account auditor is to provide expertise on these rules, regulations and incentive programs to help businesses minimize their utility costs. The Auditor will review the accounts of businesses and identify either mistakes or opportunities that will reduce utility costs. These opportunities vary by state and utility company. The Auditor's success will ultimately depend on his/her ability to identify these opportunities and manage the audit process. The Auditor will be working on multiple audits simultaneously and must refine methods for ensuring all projects are completed in a timely manner.

Prior knowledge of the industry is NOT necessary. Training will be provided, however, the auditor will need to be a fast learner with strong research skills and the ability to work independently.

The majority of the work is completed in the office, and occasionally an audit will require a field visit to a client's facility. Approximately 80% of your time will be spent in the office.

A familiarity and ability to work efficiently on Microsoft Excel is a must, as much of the Auditor's time will be spent working with this program.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to develop and maintain report templates for client presentations
• Ability to meet deadlines under minimal supervision
• Ability to research technical documents for relevant information
• Driver's License

Desired Qualifications:
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of deregulated energy markets

The starting Salary will be in the range of $35,000/year.
