Hello, I am a Producer living in Brooklyn with over 10 years of experience as a Musician, DJ, Engineer and Producer. I am also a graduate of the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences who is fluent with all major softwares and operating systems. I can show you all the major titles including: ABLETON 8/9, LOGIC PRO 9,X, Reason 6/7, PRO TOOLS 8/9/10/11, Traktor, Serato, Melodyne, MASSIVE, Kontakt, WAVES, iZotope Ozone 4/5, Virtual DJ, etc...

I can also show you how to get the most out of the software the you own or want and how to use it to make your genre of music correctly. I am proficient in Mac and PC platforms so i can help you INSTALL/TROUBLESHOOT any software plugins that your having issues with.

I own the MPC5000 and am proficient at teaching all MPC's, i also own and can show you how to use the Roland TR-8 drum machine. I have a Novation Launchpad for use with Ableton as well as a micro-Korg for use as an analogue synth. Im also familiar with but do not own the MASCHINE by Native Instruments, Ableton PUSH and the Akai MPC Renaissance if you want to bring those we can work on your equipment but I'm familiar enough to get you started on them..

I also have a vinyl turntable setup running through a Pioneer DJM-800 using either TRAKTOR or SERATO if you want to combine the production lesson with some scratch techniques or see what a bounced track will do in a dj mix etc, this can be helpful to get an idea of the whole process start to finish for electronic music production. I am also familiar with the majority of DJ controllers as well.

If you want to learn how to RECORD, MIX, MASTER or anything else i will show you what you need to know to get your project started. I can also show you how to get your mix louder and use COMPRESSION and SIDE-CHAINING techniques, as well as match the volumes and compression levels of the music you listen to.

The rate is $50/hr:

1 hour: In this session we only have time to quickly walk you through a software of your choice and get any plugin, software or sound banks installed for you. I will show you the things you need to know in the software your using based on your musical tastes and what you will want to do to get the sounds your in to and get a project started.

2 hour: In addition to the first hour of learning the software and how it works we will have time to create a track and also go over techniques for song construction/composition, bouncing/final mix techniques etc. I recommend 2 hours to really get a good foundation of the software your using and to be able to get started making music, especially if your a beginner.

3 hour: This is the full session, which gives us time to not only install and go thoroughly through your chosen software and create and mix a track, but also go through the methods of Compression, EQ, side-chain Compression, using Limiters and all the the mastering techniques to really beef up your mix with a loud mix-down. This also gives us time to go over some tricks to get your track sounding like the professional mixes you're used to hearing.

Im good at listening to your creative needs and cutting through the software to help you get right to the things that will actually help you. Most every person i teach is good with only one lesson b/c i can show you how to achieve the sound that you are trying to make, at the end of the day these softwares make it very easy as long as you know how to use them and thats the main focus of my lessons, so we can spend about half the time learning the specific program and the other half applying your style/genre within in.

Lastly, I can also help you pick out/purchase gear that will work for your project/style as well as come over and help you setup your gear/home studio. For house-calls I ask for an additional 50$ in the city and 100$ for outside of the city on top of the rate for but I'm happy to come out and get you totally setup and make sure everything you have is working properly and you feel comfortable using it.
