This is an absolutely fabulous Double Sided Huge Antique 8 Panel Black Lacquer
Chinese Carved Gilt Decorated Screen.
This wonderful handcarved treasure is a genuine antique and dates to the 1900's.
It is a fine example and is an original work of art and features eight 17" wide panels , 8 ' height with extraordinary carved and gilded decoration. Each panel measures: 17" X 8' x 1" with a 12' Total Span.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY EXQUISITE !!!
The gilt side depicts a stunning Spring Woodland scene with dazzling birds in flight and posed amidst the blossoming floral trees. Please note the continuity of the scene when viewed from either side angle, on panels facing the viewer.
A true example of the value and design precision of this piece.
The reverse side of the screen depicts an animated woodland scene with wonderful birds perched and in flight amongst the lotus. The large artistic oriental tree that drapes across the top gives true testimony to the talent and design abilities of the master artist who achieved this work. The lotus spring from the woodland floor, completing this serene and masterful scene.

The piece has minor wear and needs some touch up as it has been in storage for a while. Upper corner on one board needs lacquer repair. Discount has been included in price for repair.
