Taken 5-string vintage banjo - (Upper West Side, NYC)

Taken/stolen: a vintage 5-string banjo - picked up from side of car while unloading on Upper West Side Sunday night, May 24th, by two young women, one in a white with white/black striped hoodie, 2nd with long hair pulled back; possibly Hispanic. Crime of opportunity - they probably have no idea what they took, or even what it is.

The banjo is a custom banjo - No serial number as far as I know. It is a 5 String open back with a distinctive raised tone ring and double brackets inside.
It has an old Paramount headstock which is ornamented with inlay inlaid . It reads "Royal Artist", Bruno, NY". Custom neck made by Providence Guitar and Banjo (may have their stamp on the back of the headstock). Light colored maple wood neck and pot. Down the fretboard there are angled diamond markers down the fretboard at the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th, and 10th frets. There's a metal arm rest on the banjo, and a heavy, clunky looking pickup system inside the pot.

It's in a Pete Seeger style extra long-neck (black) leather gig bag, with shoulder strap, handle & forearm carry strap. -- OLD LOOKING, with a shoulder strap, handle and arm slip.
