Hi I'm Craig from a Progressive metal band called Open The Nile
As of now we are a 3 piece, a drummer, Lead Vocalist, and guitarist /Clean vocals.
We are in search of a bass player to complete our line up.
WE ARE NOT A PRO BAND YET, but we are looking to get to that level. We need someone that understands that there will be a lot of work to get to that point.
Some of the bands that influence us are, The faceless, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Intervals, The Devin Townsend Project, Extol new and old, Cattle Decapitation, and Dream theater.

Here are some of the requirements we would like for this band

1. We need someone that has a solid technique for playing bass.

2. Must own your own gear.

3. Transportation would be great.

4. Please be reliable; meaning you will be able to make time to learn and write with us, and also play shows.

5. We're looking for a bass player over the age of 21.

6. Someone that has a job to handle the financial obligations of being in a band, like paying for a studio rent, band Merch, and any other expenses that come with a band.

7. Live in NYC, we would rather you be close to home.

8. Committed in investing into the band. We understand a lot of musicians do multiple bands and projects, but if it's to point where it is more then 2 and you are stretching yourself thin it is not worth it.
